Matthias Spänle is a Director in the healthcare investment banking group at JMP Securities.

Prior to joining JMP, Matthias worked in healthcare investment banking at Robertson Stephens. Prior to starting his finance career, Matthias trained in cardiovascular and general surgery and conducted extensive research in neuroscience, completing a doctoral thesis on the subject of epilepsy.

Matthias holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and an MD from the University of Bonn, Germany.
