Philip Gardner is a Managing Director in institutional sales.

Prior to joining JMP, Phil served as a Senior Managing Director at Friedman Billings Ramsey, where he oversaw the firm's west coast sales effort after opening its San Francisco office in September 2002. Phil previously spent 15 years in institutional sales at Robertson Stephens, where he established the Tel Aviv office and served on the board of directors of Robertson Stephens International. Phil was also a limited sales partner at Montgomery Securities for seven years and a salesperson at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. in New York.

Phil holds a BS from The Ohio State University.
