Pat Walravens is a Managing Director and senior research analyst covering application and enterprise software.

Pat's research coverage spans the software industry, including both on-demand and traditional software vendors. As Co-Director of Technology Research, Pat helps oversee the equity research product at JMP, with a focus on the software, internet, digital media and IT services sectors.

Pat ranked among the top three analysts in the software industry for EPS accuracy in 2009 and for stock picking in 2006, as measured by investment research analysis firm StarMine.

Pat joined JMP Securities in 2001. Prior to joining JMP, Pat served as a Vice President and senior research analyst at Lehman Brothers. Earlier in his career, Pat practiced corporate law with the firm of Cooley Godward Kronish, where he represented emerging technology companies and venture capital investors.

Pat holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a JD from the UCLA School of Law, where he was awarded the Order of the Coif. Pat holds a BA in economics from Stanford University, where he served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the computer science department.
